Herbalist Fairy

These fairies know each and every single species of plants – including trees, vegetables and specially herbs – that inhabit nature, as well as their effects, ways to use, origins and links to each other. For various periods in time, they helped humanity surpass famine and plague trading that old-as-time knowledge.

Attracted by the very concept of illusion and numbness, they find fun in not only inflict said states up themselves, but also in feed on the "odd energy" generated by rational beings when in a state of suspended consciousness.

With that on mind, they presented humanity to numerous ways of reaching hallucinatory realms through certain edible plants.

They were honest about specific aspects of the plants, but not so much about the likely outcome of prolonged use and excessive consume. The more odd energy the humans generate, the more they could feed and celebrate. When humans gather on the purpose of consuming hallucinogens, the Herbalist Faeries are served with a banquet.

They are one of the rare examples of fairies that can be easily seen, as they are unlikely to hide when feeding on one's illusions. It's guaranteed you'll have a hard time proving what was a real spot and what was a hallucination though.
